Persis Biryani Indian Grill: Authentic Indian Cuisine in Charlotte

1st time eating at Persis Biryani and it was excellent! Our server was very patient and helpful. The food was fresh and flavorful.

Was delicious, my first time there and we arrived right when they opened after they cosed for months due to the virus. The buffet is not open due to safety regulations but the food you order off their newly made menus are still as good! service was nice & friendly. Something different and awesome to look forward to!

Perfectly grilled, juicy, and bursting with smoky spice! The tang of onions and creamy dip balance it beautifully. Tip: squeeze a lemon on top — you’ll be in heaven!

New to charlotte & still finding all the good places to eat and this one we will definitely be back to enjoy more food. Boyfriend decided on Indian food for dinner & quick google search & we found this place. Sat outside on the patio! Waiter was so nice & everyone you talked to was so friendly and welcoming. We ordered Samosas, Lamb Saag, Goat Curry & of course Chicken Tikka Masala. Chili Naan & Garlic naan, Everything was amazing. Everything came as medium spicy but we should’ve made the Tikka a hot, but it still tasted amazing. Walked away very full and very pleased. Will be repeat customers for sure!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant that added a Indian breakfast buffet on weekends. The prices were reasonable, making it an excellent choice for families and friends looking for a satisfying morning meal. The buffet featured a variety of items, including idli, dosa, vada, poori, pongal, paaya, and chicken curry, among other dishes. The dosa station was particularly impressive, offering made-to-order dosas with options like plain, ghee, masala, onion, and uthappam. Overall, the food was delicious, and while a few items could use some improvement, I was satisfied with my meal. The variety and quality of the dishes made for a delightful breakfast experience. If you find yourself in the area on a weekend morning, I recommend giving this breakfast buffet a try. You won't be disappointed!

The food is authentic. So, there's that! You'll get a flavorful explosion that will tantalize your taste buds. Now, if you came for ambiance or chić decor then you came for Insta pictures and pomp! Cause It's a no-frills mom and pop shop. You're going to seat yourself; however, they do provide bottled water. I wanted something spicy and smoky to take the edge off. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Roti, with a side of Samosas. I wasn't impressed with the doughiness of the Samosa casing, but that could have been due to the Styrofoam trapping condensation. However, the Chicken was flavorful and indulgent. It was rich an s creamy with a robust tomato accent. They serve a daily lunch buffet. Its open so you can mix and match protein and sauce flavors.

After searching for Indian buffets in Charlotte, this seems to be one of the only remaining spots. Since I don't live nearby, I made a point to stop in while I was in the area today. The selection features about 20 items—right on par with most Indian buffets I’ve visited. While the food was delicious and full of flavor, I would have loved to see more appetizer variety, like samosas. I also wasn't sure about the full drink menu beyond bottled water and beer; I’d have jumped at the chance to try a mango lassi if it were available!

I've had a hard time finding a good Indian buffet since Hyderabadi Biryani House changed hands and turned into Tabla. I haven't been to many to be fair but I found Persis to be pretty good. The tandoor chicken was a little dry but the raita was great and so was the chicken biryani. I'd like to catch them on a day they have tika masala and goat curry.
